Aneesha is a contemporary women's clothing brand, that likes to reinterpret tradition and crafts with a contemporary vision and design.

The sustainability and recovery of materials, as well as the attention to fabric manufacturing processes, are all key elements of our work.

At first, it was in the way Indian women dress, so gracefully enveloped in their saris, that Lavinia found the expression of a sacred femininity that became the main inspiration for her designs and her work.

This also evolved into a service whereby Aneesha (Lavinia) works with women in order to help them connect with their unique femininity and signature in this world.

As she developed and evolved as her designer, her ambition became to give life to a very creative and explorative brand, where creativity shall become something accessible for everybody, something everybody can “wear” and thus connect with inside of themselves.

By exploring the concept of neo-craftsmanship, Aneesha contributes at transmitting values such as know-how, history, the love for a craft, the different relationship to time, the symbolic value of an object…

Neither synonymous with "forgotten professions", nor opposed to words like "industrial" or "high tech", Aneesha has made it its mission to find these values their rightful place in our current era.

About Lavinia

After a career start in management consulting,  I rapidly turned towards more humanistic and creative subjects, joining the advertising industry and being responsible for Branding and Positioning for major international clients.

Feeling a need for autonomy and for expressing my creativity much more than what I was doing back then, I took a sabbatical period during which I went to India, to paint and meditate.

My first trip to India was a time of deep reconnection with myself, rediscovering an artistic sense present in me since an early age, a love for colors and handmade fabrics. Inspired by the femininity and grace of Indian women and their traditional clothes (saris) I was able to reconnect with my creativity, my body, my own femininity...

This is where Aneesha began: once back in Europe I brought back with me some traditional Indian fabrics and created my first pieces for some weddings. Requests from the first customers followed. After joining a technical pattern-making course at the Accademia del lusso in Milan and after going back to India several times a year to source the best fabrics and forge links with craftsmen, I was able to test and develop the best capsule for the needs of my clients.

Today Aneesha presents a permanent capsule collection in handprinted silks, new textile and design developments every season as well as a made to measure line with custom made pieces.
